Salvation Mountain

Hallo meine Lieben,
gestern war Freitag und ich hatte meinen freien Tag. Deshalb bin ich um 10:00 zusammen mit Sarah, Nele und Katja Richtung Slab City gestartet. Die Fahrt dorthin hat ca 3 Stunden gedauert und wir sind durch eine Landschaft aus Hügeln, Steinen und Wüste ins Landesinnere gefahren. Als wir endlich angekommen waren und ausgestiegen sind, hat uns die Hitze total umgehauen. Wir hatten zwar "nur" 33 Grad aber mitten in der Wüste und bei klarem blauem Himmel fühlt es sich sehr viel heisser an als 33 Grad. Zum Glück hatten wir etwas Wind, wie man auf den Bildern erkennen kann.
Der Hügel besteht aus allerlei Sachen, den ein ganz alter Mann zu seinem Lebensprojekt gemacht hat. Leider ist er vor ein paar Jahren gestorben aber früher hat man ihn dort wohl jeden Tag angetroffen.

Dieser alte Mann hat den Hügel für Gott gebaut. Er besteht aus Lehm, Heuballen, Baumstämmen, Glas, AUtotüren und ungefähr allem was man finden konnte. In den Höhlen bringen Menschen kleine Andenken von sich mit und legen diese in die Höhlen hinein. Hier die Fotos:
